At Sacred Heart Parish, Baptisms are celebrated every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 11:15am. Baptism ceremonies are approximately 30mins in duration and may be held in groups of 3 or 4 families.
Parent/Guardians – Parents/guardians are required to attend a Baptism information meeting with the Parish Priest or Assistant Priest prior to the Baptism.
Godparents – At least one Godparent must be a practicing Catholic. You may have more than two godparents if you wish, however only 4 names can be written in the Register.
To Book a Baptism at Sacred Heart Thornlie
- Download and complete the Baptism Enquiry Form.
- Email the completed form to thornlie@perthcatholic.org.au
- The Priest will then contact you to arrange an appointment to discuss your child’s Baptism.
The normal place for a Baptism is your local Parish, however, if you wish to have a Baptism at Sacred Heart, as a courtesy, your local Parish Priest should be informed.
