SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING – At Sacred Heart, Sacrament of Anointing happens on the 1st Friday of the month at 8:45am during mass.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM: Preparing children for the Sacraments – Our parish runs an extensive after school Religious Education Program for those children in years 1 to 6 that are not attending Catholic Schools. The program also prepares children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation. Classes run each Wednesday during the school term starting at 4:00pm. RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – Preparing adults to enter the Catholic faith. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) has been established as the means by which a person can explore the faith of the Catholic Church. It offers a way to grow in the knowledge of Christ, and the Catholic faith, in company with others on a similar journey. The RCIA takes place within a parish community so you are able to share in the life of the Church expressed in a local parish. FUNERALS: A funeral is a ceremony for celebrating, respecting, sanctifying, or remembering the life of a person who has died. MEMORIAL GARDENS: Our church has on location four Memorial Garden blocks which provide a resting place for the interment of ashes.
